Artists & Designers open their doors in Waterloo

Make Space is a thriving and evolving community of over 60 artists nestled amidst the ever-changing landscape of Waterloo. Once each year they host a weekend of art and performance, briefly opening their intimate work spaces to the public.

Artists, designers and makers invite the public into their working space, where they are welcome to explore their practice and engage in creative discourse. It is also an opportunity to buy direct from the artist, avoiding typical 50% commissions.

Experiences available throughout the weekend include

  • Over 60 studios to explore – discover painters, sculptors, designers, ceramicists, goldsmiths, photographers, choreographers, and more.
  • Workshops in ceramics, painting and badge and bunting making*
  • Creation Box hosts ‘Traces’ an drawing and dance improvisational jam
  • Join the group at iknit for Knit in Public day on the 9th
  • Drop in Portrait photography
  • Kids’ treasure hunt
  • Homebaked goodies

All welcome to this free, fun-packed weekend celebrating creativity.
